Now this is not the end.

It is not even the beginning of the end.  But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Sir Winston Churchill, 1942.

And that is what it feels like here.

Not the end, not the beginning either.  It’s not the end of hard work, nor the end of learning, but it’s not the beginning of those either.   We’ve been working hard, and learning as we go.

Our shed is built, and painted and has flooring and furniture.  The furniture needs fixing in, and then it’s totally ready to be used.

I guess it is the end of the beginning after all………….

Since this was taken I’ve painted the inside of the window frames.

And the window frames round the doors.

And the outside is waterproofed and sealed with a coat of paint too.

When I took the decision to have a studio and to have a go at this pottery business it was near the end of June and baking hot.

It’s three months later, not long really, but the long hot days have passed, and the garden is telling me it’s now autumn.

I hope I still have a few sunny days to enjoy in my shed and the view of the garden before winter completely sets in.
