open!

Nothing broken that we can see, the buttons are still a bit to hot to handle comfortably, and so I’ve decided to leave them a bit longer to cool down.

It was quite nerve racking to open the door and take the first peep in, in fact I asked Andrew to look first!

The temperature before we opened the door was 99C, but a few seconds after the door had been opened it dropped to 77C and was falling rapidly.  We left the kiln door ajar a bit to cool slowly.

So, so, so relieved that every thing has made it.

Glazing next!
