I do take great care when making my work, it’s in my best interest to do so, I don’t want to have to buy new kiln shelves because something has welded itself to the kiln shelf with the glaze due to being sloppy when glazing and tidying up the pieces afterwards.

I also take great care because I know that some one some where will treasure one of my items, as much as I do.

And sometimes you get to know, not only where, but to whom an item is going.

And that makes the heart beat faster and you get a warm glow when you hear that “this is for my Mother’, or “this is for my friends 40th birthday”.

Or in this case, “this is for my daughter”.

It really makes making worth it.
