Well I’m impressed with this electric kiln firing lark, so far, you just have to keep nipping out to turn it up occasionally and check the temperature every 15 minutes.
No sitting with it to check the burners don’t go out, or waiting until you can close the door or put both burners on and run it off the regulator on the gas bottles.
He seems to be going up nicely, and we are at 540°, and have just put the dials for the elements up to 2.5 top and bottom.
I could get used to this…………
Ahh, but those copper reds, won’t work in an electric kiln, and Harry should only really be taken to bisque.
