blanket, kiln, cold clay, pots

It’s been quite cold here in the UK over the past few days, though it was warmer today.  I’ve been working hard to get a new blanket for the bed finished.  We just have the one duvet, and when it’s cold it’s woolly blanket time.  One day we may invest in a winter duvet, but I still love my blankets.

Obviously Asher loves the blanket, he was on the bed and on the blanket before I’d spread it out.

My little electric kiln has been busy and did a bisque firing today, which will be ready to be glazed tomorrow, and then on Saturday it’s a glaze firing in the big kiln.

The last pots I threw this week was a bit painful as I forgot to bring the clay in and it was so cold, like throwing with ice, I’ll not do that again.

Just a reminder that I am at a Craft Fair on Sunday 8th December near Chester if you are in the area.  There will be some lovely things for sale, not just mine, with lots of lovely sellers.

The address is:

Double Tree Hilton Hotel
Warrington Road
Chester CH2 3PD

10 till 5

Hope to see you there.  Oh just noticed that there are some of my buttons on the flyer, just under the address!
