break

I finished my last event of the year a few weeks ago, and since then I’ve applied for some events for next year, and have two booked.

And I’ve done some knitting, a jumper for Christmas for Andrew.  And just rested, and went out to see friends, spent time with the family, and just had time away from the job.

I guess working for oneself, and working from home means that it’s hard to switch off.  Always here on the job, always thinking about the next event, the next round of making, the next design.  Don’t get me wrong I love what I do, and opening the kiln and finding little jewels of buttons, and seeing if the glaze tests have worked.

But I’m beginning to learn that I need to walk right away from it from time to time and just re charge batteries, and get ready for the next bit of work.  So that’s what I’ve been doing.

And Monday it’s back in the shed and working.

And next years events are being posted on the events page.
